Licensure in State of Michigan
B.S. in Mortuary Science
To become eligible for licensure in the State of Michigan one must fulfill the following educational requirements:

Complete an accredited program of academic instruction in mortuary science as defined by the American Board of Funeral Service Education;

Pass examinations as determined by the State Board;

Fulfill the requirements for resident training.
NOTE: Graduates from Wayne State University's accredited Mortuary Science Program are only required to complete the resident trainee requirement and pass the State Mortuary examination.
